Witbank News

Between 1903 and 1909, news pertaining to Witbank appeared in the “Community News” section of the Middelburg Observer. By 1917, however, the town had grown to the extent that a wholly new and independent newspaper could be justified: the Witbank News was officially born.

The paper is today one of the three best-selling community newspapers in the country, and its loyal readership base has come to rely on the News for factual and unbiased reporting on hard news, local news, community gatherings and events, local sports and entertainment, crime, and issues relating to local governance.

The News has a sizeable print order of 31 500 copies, which are distributed weekly on Fridays to outlets in Witbank, eMalahleni, Ga-Nala (Kriel), Ogies, Clewer, Blinkpan and Balmoral.
