A bit about Groblersdal: Groblersdal is a close knit farming town situated just 32 km north of the large Loskop Dam in the Sekhukhune District of Limpopo. The town is South Africa’s second largest irrigation settlement, and the main crops grown on this artificial flood plain include cotton, tobacco, citrus fruit, table grapes, maize, wheat, vegetables, sunflower seeds, peanuts, lucerne and peaches. Groblersdal was named after the original owner of the “Klipbank” farm, WJ Grobler.
